The Story

MINI F6X COOPER S / JCW

The 2025 F6X MINI Cooper Eventuri intake is a fully sealed system featuring Eventuri's patented Venturi filter housing with increased volume over the OEM airbox. By redesigning the system to allow for a much more direct airflow path, the turbo is able to generate boost with less drag and therefore reach target boost pressure sooner in the RPM range. Being fully sealed, it maintains low intake air temperatures and avoids heat soak, which is crucial for maximising performance during high-demand driving conditions.

The increased volume over the OEM airbox allows for greater airflow, translating into more power potential especially at higher states of tune where flow demand is greater. The de-restricted flow path also allows turbo spool to be heard more clearly, adding to the dynamics of the overall driving experience.

The Eventuri Difference

The F6X MINI Cooper Eventuri system uses their patented carbon fibre housing which provides an aerodynamically efficient airflow path from the filter to the turbo. Not just another cone filter with a heat shield, but a unique design which invokes the Venturi effect and maintains laminar flow conditions to reduce drag on the turbo.

The Eventuri MINI F6X intake system consists of a number of components engineered to perform a specific purpose and fabricated to the highest of standards. Here are the details for each component and the design ethos behind them:

Each intake system consists of:

  • Carbon Fibre Venturi Filter Housing with integrated sensor tube
  • Bespoke High Flow Dry Filter
  • Carbon Fibre Inlet Duct
  • CNC Machined MAF Boss
  • Laser Cut Stainless Steel Bracket Work

Filter Housing Assembly

The filter housing comprises a bespoke generation 2 filter, aluminium inlet cowl, stainless steel bracket and the integrated sensor section. The carbon pod shrouds the reverse-mounted filter and smoothly shapes the airflow down to the sensor section, which then connects to the custom flexible coupler.

Unlike the OEM airbox — where airflow enters the front, changes direction by 90 degrees through the panel filter, then changes direction again by 90 degrees towards the flexible hose — Eventuri's system is far more direct. Airflow enters the front of the filter housing and moves into the sensor section without any abrupt direction changes. The result is a smoother path from the filter to the turbo inlet tube, allowing the turbo to function with less drag.


Patented Technology

The patented filter housing features a smooth reduction in cross-sectional area as it shrouds the filter and tapers down to the tubing. This geometry invokes the Venturi effect, where airflow accelerates whilst maintaining laminar conditions. It can be thought of as a large velocity stack. Eventuri's bespoke filters aid the airflow moving through the housings and allow for an even velocity profile as the airflow exits.

Carbon Fibre Inlet Duct

The carbon duct draws cold air from the stock air feed behind the front bumper, but with a smoother flow path to the filter compared to the OEM version. By utilising organic curvature, the flow is smoothly shaped to the opening of the filter housing, greatly improving overall flow efficiency.

The duct seals to the filter housing with an expandable rubber edging, which also allows for engine vibration. It mounts to the OEM locations with hidden hardware, keeping a clean engine bay aesthetic.

Custom Flexible Coupler

The final component is a custom-designed flexible coupler. This enables the filter housing to remain static and therefore sealed to the duct as the engine moves under load.
